Vesper

Privacy PolicyClear, local, and straightforward.

Effective date: August 19, 2026

Vesper is designed around a private, local workflow. This policy explains what Vesper and NDB Software do—and do not do—with information.

No personal data collection

Vesper does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information.

No usage analytics or telemetry

Vesper does not collect analytics or telemetry about how you use the app. There are no advertising trackers, tracking pixels, or usage profiles.

No code collection

Vesper does not collect or transmit your code, scripts, terminal input, program output, filenames, or the contents of files you create in Vesper—except when you intentionally use a connected feature such as GitHub Sync or an optional AI request, as described below.

GitHub integration

GitHub Sync is optional. If you use it, Vesper stores your GitHub personal access token in the iOS Keychain on your device. The token is not written to source files, logs, or Vesper servers.

When you connect, clone, pull, or push, Vesper communicates directly with GitHub over HTTPS. Repository data and authentication are handled under your GitHub account, permissions, privacy settings, and GitHub’s terms. Vesper and NDB Software do not receive your token or repository contents.

AI services

AI Coding Assistant is optional. If you choose to use it, you configure your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key. Vesper stores each API key in the iOS Keychain on your device. Keys are not written to Vesper settings, source files, logs, or Vesper servers.

When you intentionally submit an AI request, Vesper sends the request prompt and the editor, selected-code, or Python traceback context needed for that request directly from your device to the AI provider you selected, over HTTPS. Vesper and NDB Software do not receive your provider API key, prompts, source code, AI responses, conversations, or token usage.

Those transmissions and any provider-side processing are governed by the provider’s own privacy policy, account settings, and terms. NDB Software does not operate the provider account or control provider-side retention. You are responsible for any API fees charged by the provider you choose.

No accounts

Vesper does not require a Vesper account.

Local app data

Files and settings created or stored by Vesper remain on your device, except when you choose to use GitHub Sync, an AI request, or operating-system export and sharing features. Vesper does not control what happens after you intentionally share a file with another service.

Website privacy

The public Vesper website does not intentionally collect or maintain visitor analytics or personal information. The site does not use analytics, advertising trackers, account systems, contact-form storage, or unnecessary cookies. Cloudflare may process ordinary network requests to deliver the website.
